- Greeters and Mentors: These are volunteers who want to make sure you know where to go, can help you get signed in, answer any questions you have about the meetings, and direct you to the right person if you have specific questions. Mentors are volunteers who specifically help caregivers who are attending our meetings for the first time. If you are new, you will be paired up with a mentor to help you learn your way around and meet some other babywearers.
- Chapter Support Volunteers: These are the folks signing you in, helping you with membership, and checking in and out your library carriers.
- Volunteer Babywearing Educators in Training: These volunteers (wearing purple headbands) are learning to become accredited VBE’s and while they can’t actively teach you to use your carrier, they can answer any other questions you have. You will probably see them shadowing some of the other educators, and if you do and they are focused on listening and seemingly ignoring you, please know they are focusing on the educator’s teaching process and not meaning to ignore you.
- Volunteer Babywearing Educators (VBEs): These volunteers (wearing orange headbands) have been trained and accredited by Babywearing International to teach safe babywearing. They can help you find the right carrier and teach you how to wear your little one in a carrier. The three sub-types of educators are Volunteer Babywearing Educators, Advanced Babywearing Educators, and Master Babywearing Educators.
