Front cross carry is a great "poppable" carry, meaning you can pre-tie this carry before leaving the house and when you are ready to put baby in, you just pop baby in, adjust and tighten, and then you’re done! This is helpful when your older toddler or child wants up or down frequently or when it’s raining and you don’t want your tails to drag on the wet ground. As an added bonus, since it’s tied in the front, you won’t have a knot in your back if you sit down. This carry is good for leg straighteners because of the cross passes and is easy to transfer sleeping babies.
Front Cross Carry (includes tips on nursing discretely)
- Make sure that the cross passes are spread knee to knee on baby.
- Always put baby’s leg in the cross pass closest to your body first.
